Meet The Occupy Movement's New Mascot

It's the starfish! Yup. Well, at least, that's what could be concluded after reading Rev. Dr. Giles Frazer's piece Occupy's starfish power regenerates protest. I guess the metaphor is appropo in the wake of Rolling Stone contributing editor Matt Taibbi's descripion of Wall Street's darling Goldman Sachs as a "giant vampire squid," right?

Consequently, Taibbi is currently trying to get in contact with the folks who performed a recent "Let's Go Squidding" action against Goldman. See Occupy Wall Street: The 'Squidding' of Goldman, Sachs. However, I can understand why he has grown tired of his coinage since his April 2010 piece. But I for one would enjoy witnessing a few squids swim around downtown Dallas -- just for shits and giggles -- mainly because you're certainly not going to find any references to squids attributed to Fox News via YouTube. Hush, hush. But you will find squids on RTAmerica, though I kinda wish Pee-Wee Herman screamed every time presenter Lauren Lyster dropped the word.
